How does the mixer work?
There are no on/off switches. Every sound is a single intensity slider — raising it makes that sound more present in the mix, not just louder. Continuous sounds like rain grow denser; event sounds like frogs and birds call more often. Blend as many sounds as you like and press play.
Will audio keep playing with the screen locked?
Yes. Nightfall plays in the background with the screen locked, and you can pause or resume from the Lock Screen and Control Center. If audio stops when you lock the phone, make sure the mix is actually playing (the play button is filled) before locking.
How does the sleep timer work?
Set a duration and the soundscape fades out gradually at the end — never a hard cut. The free tier includes timers up to 60 minutes; Nightfall Pro adds overnight fade durations.
What's included in Nightfall Pro?
Nightfall Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription. It unlocks overnight fades, per-sound character controls, unlimited saved scenes, and an expanded sound library including white, pink, and brown noise. The core five-sound mixer is free forever.
How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?
Open Nightfall's settings (or the unlock screen) and tap restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refund decisions are made by Apple.
Does Nightfall need an internet connection?
No. All sounds ship with the app and everything runs on your device. The only time the app talks to a server is when a purchase is made or restored, which is handled by Apple's App Store and validated through RevenueCat.
Why does the glow stop moving sometimes?
The breathing glow pauses automatically when your device is in Low Power Mode or when Reduce Motion is enabled, and while the app is in the background. This keeps overnight battery use low; audio is unaffected.
How do I delete my data?
Nightfall stores your scenes and settings on your device only, and deleting the app removes them. The one thing collected is an anonymous purchase record RevenueCat keeps so your Pro unlock stays restorable; to have that deleted, email montilangelo@gmail.com. Your Pro unlock stays with your Apple ID and can be restored on reinstall.
